Surah Fatiha Lessons

Surah Fatiha Lessons

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Surah Fatiha means "The Opening (of the Quran)"
This is so because during clan wars, defending clan used to shut itself in a fortress and attacking clan attempted to break in. Fatiha comes from the root Fa Ta Ha فتح

In Urdu the root Fa Ta Ha فتح  means to conquer, to win in battle.
کھول دینا
واضع کر دینا
It means "to open"
This was made possible after several attempts over several days.
فتاح fattahun is also one of Allah's 99 names meaning the one who opens up the real truth
راز کھولنے والا
Hence the term
فتح حاصل ہونا
Success was achieved when the attacking clan was able to break open and get inside the fortress.
May Allah help us retain this knowledge.
